FLORENCE, ITALY

Spent 4 days 3 nights in FLORENCE, italy. A 2 hours train ride with trainilia from venjce which cost around 45 euro one way if you bought it on the train station ticketing office. You will get cheaper deal if you buy it early online.

Florence is indeed a very beautiful place. Is not too crowded, is just nice. Everything here is so ancient and i love every bit of the city.

Basically, my whole journey, i do it on foot. So i did not buy any transport tickets. All main attractions are in the city and you can reach all of it by foot.

Went to have lunch at this restaurant with my cousin. My cousin found this place throuht trip advisor. Food in this restaurant is really nice, real italian food. Expenses for the food is around 5 euros and above.

You should give it a try. :)

Another thing i love about florence is the chocolates and gelato, which is also knkwn as ice cream. Hot cholates here are really good dark thick chocolate and it taste really nice. Gelato can be found on every street here, gelato is so good and there are plenty of flavors you can choose.

When you are in italy, never miss the chance of getting yourself a pizza. Pizza i had (see below) are the classkc pizza - tomato, brasil and cheese. Cost 5 euro for one ehole big pizza and is so much better than pizza hut :)

We also went to climb the 460 stairs of DUOMO. Last entrance is 5pm. We got there at 4pm, queue was long. The climb is worth, and before you knew it, you are realy reaching the dome. Ticket cost 10 euros. The view is stunning and breathtaking.

Personally, im quite amazed with all the details art work of SANTA MARIA DEL FLORE. Is just amazing and i give 100% respect to the designer/artist for these.

While walking around florence, i notice that the signboard had been randomly vadalism.

In fact, it turns out to be quite nice and interesting. I pass by a shop which actually sell the stickers of it.

We also managed to climb up a hill to ABBAZIA DISAN MINIATO AL MONTE. It is a church located up a hill. Climbing up there is not easy, but what you gain in the end is the amazing view.

Last but not least, PONTE VECCHIO. it looks really pretty in photos but not in the eye. Ha ha. But i had to admit it does look unique.

My cousin will end his trip and heading back to london tomorrow while i will be continue on my journey alone. Next stop: ROME.

Let me conclude my blog about florence with DAVID's xxx ha ha ha.

Venice 3 days 2 nights

My first city in Europe - Venice. Went to visit this lovely small city with my cousin who  appear to be a half british and half malaysian, and still single. (Ha ha)

We board on the BRITISH AIRWAY at 8.05am, we landed venice in one piece at 11AM (local time). Venice is one hour ahead of UK. Upon arrival, we get the ferry ticket which cost 15 euro single trip from the airport to the city. After getting the tickets, just follow the signboard to the ferry terminal and board the  orange line. It took us about an hour to get to the station. We stay at a hotel - CA ZOSE, a very antic and comfortable hotel, arond 90 euros per night for a twin room.

City map of venice

Basically, venice is not big and my cousin is my navigator. It is good to get lost in venice, squeezing through all narrow path, is just like a maze, and be gratecul to experience it as a maze walker.

Our time in venice are just chilling. One full day in venice are more then enough, is a very quiet place tho. :)

Below are some random shots in the daytime:

Getting pizza in italy is a must, and it has been my favourite during my stay.

Not to mentioned, night view in venice is incredible. The peaceful view and is just perfect for vampires movie (haha).

On our last day in venice, it actually rain the whole day and it flood. As this two days are also the high water level. According to the hotel staff, she told us that, normally this tims in venice is getting really cold, but in fact, it is quite warm due to the high water level. The high water level is based by the moon and the wind, when the water level is high, it means that the temperature will be warm.

Anyway, im quite impressed in how they managed to build this things up when theres flood and also all those "waterproof shoe"

Thats all for venice, tomorrow 1025am, local time, im hopping on trainalia to FLORENCE.

Footstep back to Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK

Monument

Back to this "city of club" after 4 years, nothing much has change to me, except the people around. Some are still here, some moved away, but all memories remained.

Arrived to this city on 29 oct, midnight. A good friend of mine picked me up and the first night i did, club at LIQUID. A place where i used to club always when i'm still in university. Time flies, people change, age increasing, i somehow don't have much interest in clubs like i used to, but is still good to feel the vibe here again.

A memory i'll never forget

Randomly met some new friends whom are all students here and most of them are singaporean and malaysian and also dancers. We all met in random way, or should i say is faith that brought us all together?

A bunch of old friends of mine that i knew for years, organized halloween party in the club, and we are randomly being invited to help to performed. We eventually settled everything in 3 hours, big applause to the guidance of michael and elwin for the whole thing.

The valuable thing i got from this last minute performance was the new friendship and how dance actually did brought us all together and become one.

The main reason i came back to the UK is for JUSTJAM INTERNATIONAL. I joined this 3 days bboy bootcamp of amazing teachers : Stuntman, Thomaz and David. The workshop blew my mind, is incredible. I learnt so much and i enjoyed every single of the workshop, is tiring as it was a 3 hour workshop each. This is also how i met this malaysian bboy whom now live in bristol and live in the UK for 7 years - Elwin. Extremely a friendly guy.

Today, i had a short walk back to where i studied. Northumbria university. So much memories, the feeling of walkimg around the campus, the student union, the library, the flats. Cant imagine how fast the clock ticks, 5 years + passed.

The happiest night was meeting this bunch of friends. The upper photo was taken in 2010 while the bottom was in 2014. These people taught me so much especially ben and seb. Both are my greatest teacher i ever had in my bgirl journey. I really miss them so much and i know i wont get to see them so soon again but ill come back for sure.

This trip back to newcastle, tiring but worth. Reunion with everyone is priceless.

Thank you all for making my trip memorable. Ill be back.

Tomorrow will be JUSTJAM INTERNATIONAL, lets have fun and ill blog about it next.
